ROUND ANNAPURNA TREK

Annapurna Round The Annapurna Himal and the town of Pokhara dominate central Nepal. There are major routes in this region: to Jomsom to Annapurna sanctuary, and a circuit to entire to Annapurna Massif. Of courser Pokhara is also a good place for a number of short trek of one to four days duration, including a panchase trek. About two-third of the trekkers in Nepal visit the Annapurna Region. The area is easily accessible. Tea house lodges in the hills are plentiful and treks here offers good scenery of both high mountains and low land village. Here is no matter, where you trek in the Annapurna region.

Pokhara: The town is known for its lake, Phewa Tal. And large collection of inexpensive hotels and restaurant along the lakeside spectral panorama of Nepal's central Himalaya, the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhere, and Manaslu, dominates the skyline. Pokhara being at a lower elevations and warmer than Kathmandu.
Highlight: Three 8000 meter Himalayas and many more close view mountains. different ethnic group, desert and excellent landscape, deepest gorge, water fall, monasteries visit, hot spring, different rhododendron flowers, flora, fauna.


Itinerary:

Day 01: Katmandu to Dumre 5 hours by tourist bus and Dumre to Beshishar or Khudi by Local bus (750m.) 3 - 4 hours by local bus. Total 176km drive.

Day 02: Beshishar to Bahundanda (1311m.)

Day 03: Bahundanda to Chamje (1430m.)

Day 04: Chyamje to Bagarchhap (2164m.).

Day 05: Bagarchhap to Chame (2715m.).

Day 06: Chame to Pisang (3160m.).

Day 07: Pisang to Manang (3351m.).

Day 08: Acclimatization or rest or sightseeing in Manang's monasteries.

Day 09: Manang to Khangsar, 4 hrs trek

Day 10: Khangsar to Tilicho Base camp's phedi, 6 hrs trek

Day 11: Tilicho base camp's Phedi to visit Tilicho Base Camp 5200 meters and back to Yak Kharka, 7 hrs trek

Day 12: Yak Kharka to Thorang la Phedi (4450 meters), 6 hrs walk.

Day 13: Thorang la Phedi to Muktinath (3820m.) via Thorung La (5416m.). 9 hrs walk.

Day 14: Muktinath to Marpha(2667m.) via wonderful Tibetan village Kagbani. 6 hrs walk.

Day 15: Marpha to Kalopani (2587m.), 6 hrs walk.

Day 16: Kalopani to Tatopani (1189m Hot spring water..), 6 hrs walk

Day 17: Tatopani to Beni by trek and local transport, than a local bus to Pokhara.

High light: One can extend their trip to Tilicho lake, 8000 meters Himalayas and many more small mountains over 6 thousands meters. Different ethnic group, snow, easy to access, excellent landscape, water fall, monasteries visit, different rhododendron flowers, flora, fauna, lakes

Altitude: Minimum 1500 m. and maximum 5416 meters. Grading: Difficult. Duration: 15 days. Trek type: Teahouse lodges.
