Detailed itinerary - Everest Base Camp Trek (17 Days)
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
- Airport pickup and hotel check-in. Rest or explore the lively streets of Thamel.
Day 2: Permits and sightseeing in Kathmandu
- Obtain trekking permits and enjoy guided visits to Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,840 m), trek to Phakding (2,610 m) – 3–4 hrs
- Scenic flight to Lukla. Begin your trek along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding.
Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 6–7 hrs
- Cross the Hillary suspension Bridge, enter Sagarmatha National Park, and ascend to Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Acclimatisation in Namche -Hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung
- Short acclimatisation hike with views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks.
Day 6: Trek to Dole (4,200 m) – 6 hrs
- Enjoy panoramic views of Thamserku and Kangtega while ascending through alpine terrain.
Day 7: Trek to Machhermo (4,470 m) – 4 hrs
- Follow peaceful trails past Sherpa villages before reaching Machhermo.
Day 8: Trek to Gokyo (4,790 m) – 4–5 hrs

Day 10: Trek to Thangnak (4,700 m) – 3–4 hrs
- Cross the rocky moraine to reach Thangnak, preparing for Cho La Pass.
Day 11: Cross Cho La Pass (5,420 m), trek to Dzongla (4,830 m) – 7–8 hrs
- A challenging day with icy trails and steep descent over one of the trek's most dramatic passes.
Day 12: Trek to Lobuche (4,940 m) – 3–4 hrs
- Gradual ascent across rugged terrain to reach Lobuche.
Day 13: Trek to Gorak Shep, visit Everest Base Camp – 7–8 hrs
- Hike to Gorak Shep, then continue to the legendary Everest Base Camp before returning for the night.
Day 14: Hike Kala Patthar (5,545 m), trek to Pheriche (4,280 m) – 6–7 hrs
- Early morning climb to Kala Patthar for the best sunrise views of Everest, then descend to Pheriche.
Day 15: Trek to Namche – 6–7 hrs
- Retrace the trail through Tengboche and descend to Namche Bazaar.
Day 16: Trek to Lukla – 6–7 hrs
- Final trekking day, celebrating your achievement in Lukla.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu
- Morning flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to your Hotel.
