Everest Two Passes Trek Itinerary (18 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

  • Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. Pre-trek briefing and gear check.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation

  • Explore cultural sites; finalise trek logistics and gear.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,860m) & trek to Phakding (2,610m) – 3–4 hrs

  • Scenic flight and easy trek through the pine forest along the Dudh Koshi River.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – 5–6 hrs

  • Steep ascent with views of Everest and Lhotse. Cross suspension bridges.

Day 5: Acclimatisation day in Namche

  • Short hike to Everest View Hotel; visit museums and local monasteries.

Day 6: Trek to Thame (3,800m) – 4–5 hrs

  • Quiet trail away from crowds; explore the spiritual village of Thame.

Day 7: Trek to Lungden (4,380m) – 4–5 hrs

  • Gradual ascent along the Bhote Koshi valley. Acclimatisation begins.

Day 8: Cross Renjo La Pass (5,360m) & trek to Gokyo (4,790m) – 7–8 hrs

  • Breathtaking climb over Renjo La; descend to turquoise Gokyo Lakes.

Day 9: Hike Gokyo Ri (5,360m) & explore Gokyo
