Poon Hill Trek Itinerary (10 Days)
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
- Transfer from Tribhuvan International Airport to your hotel in Thamel.
- Trek briefing with your guide to go over the itinerary, safety, and gear.
- Free time to explore Thamel’s shops, cafés, and local markets.
Day 2: Drive or Fly to Pokhara (827m)
- Scenic 7-8 hour drive or 30-minute flight to Pokhara.
- Lakeside walk, boat ride on Phewa Lake, or optional sightseeing to Davis Falls and Peace Pagoda.
Day 3: Drive to Banthati & Trek to Nangethati (2,430m)
- Morning drive to Banthati (4 hours) through terraced hills and forests.
- Begin trekking through rhododendron and oak forests to reach Nangethati.
Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m)
- Challenging hike up stone steps via Ulleri Village.
- Reach Ghorepani and enjoy spectacular mountain views and cozy teahouse hospitality.
Day 5: Sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210m) & Trek to Tadapani (2,630m)
- Pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill for sunrise over the Himalayas.
- Descend to Ghorepani for breakfast, then trek through forests to Tadapani.
Day 6: Trek to Jhinu Danda
- Descend through lush jungle trails.
- Arrive at Jhinu Danda and unwind in the natural hot springs.
Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk & Drive to Pokhara
- Gentle trek to the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk.
- Cultural exploration followed by a scenic drive back to Pokhara.
Day 8: Drive or Fly to Kathmandu
